Space Food: How the LSG Group developed premium meals for outer space

ESA astronaut Matthias Maurer started his journey to the International Space Station (ISS). His bonus food, developed by LSG Group’s Culinary Excellence team, is waiting for him in outer space. In this video, we show how we developed four premium meals delivering a taste of home. All are shelf-stable for two years at ambient temperature thanks to a food technology called autoclaving – it also presents a sustainable solution for airline catering and the convenience retail and home delivery business.
