Introducing our Culinary Ambassador: Thomas Bühner

Thomas Bühner, a German star chef, joined the LSG Group’s culinary network in 2019 and has been working closely with our Global Culinary Leadership Team since then. Bühner, who has more than 30 years of experience in top gastronomy, was the head chef at the restaurant La Vie from 2006 to 2018 and was awarded three Michelin stars and 19 points in Gault Millau. He also travels the world as a consultant, keynote speaker and guest chef. After his apprenticeship as a chef at the Schweizer Haus in Paderborn, he gained experience with Günter Scherrer, Jörg Müller and finally as Chef de Partie with Harald Wohlfahrt. In 1991, Bühner took over the position of chef de cuisine at Restaurant La Table in Dortmund for the first time. Five years later, he was awarded his first Michelin star there, followed by a second one in 1998. In 2006, he moved to the Osnabrück-based restaurant La Vie as managing director and chef de cuisine, which was awarded three Michelin stars in 2011.
