Ten times winner: LSG Group’s expert brands successful at WTCE
The LSG Group’s expert brands have received several awards at last week’s WTCE in Hamburg.
SPIRIANT won prizes for its products used by Lufthansa and Asiana Airlines. At the Onboard Hospitality Awards there were successes in the categories “Best for Onboard Textiles First/Business” (for particularly comfortable pillows, blankets and mattresses) and “Best for First Class Amenities”. The jury praised the dark blue leather bags as a “beautiful gift”. SPIRIANT also received the mention “Highly Commended” in the categories “Best Onboard Amenities Premium Economy” and “Best Onboard Service Equipment for Passengers” for trendy design bags with international sights or elegant first-class porcelain.
At the PAX Awards the brand was awarded in the category “First Class Amenity Kit”. The winning streak continued with the TravelPlus Awards: SPIRIANT received Gold in the categories “First Class Amenity Kit”, “Premium Economy Class Amenity Kit”, “Business Class Sleep Suit” and “Highly Commended” in “First Class Sleeper Suit/Pajamas”.
Retail inMotion also won an Onboard Hospitality Award in the “Catering Innovation of the Year” category for its “Saveurs” program, which was launched on board of SWISS flights in May 2018. The judges liked the concept because of its linkage between high-quality food and beverages and Swiss character.
The Public Coffee Roasters coffee served at Eurowings was honored as “Highly Commended” when it came to the “Best Onboard Beverage” award. The jury stated that the coffee was not only of high quality and freshly brewed, but also praised the fact that Retail inMotion provides transparency with regard to its origin and production.
Only one year after its foundation, the expert brand Evertaste was also recognized with an Onboard Hospitality Award. In the “Best for Wellbeing Onboard” category, their Packaged Meals from the “FlyYourVeda” series prevailed. Offering products suitable for a desired mood – “Activating” or “Relaxing” – is “unique on the market”, according to the jury.
LSG Sky Chefs was awarded “Airline Caterer of the Year Europe” at the PAX Awards, meaning that all four of the LSG Group’s expert brands received prizes at WTCE 2019.
