LSG Sky Chefs at InnoTrans 2014

Join us on a journey of taste – was this year’s tagline for our LSG Sky Chefs booth at Innotrans. For the second time in a row, we participated in the leading transport technology trade fair, which took place from the 23 to 26 of September 2014 in Berlin.

At our booth we showcased LSG Sky Chefs’ Train Service portfolio of products and services across all aspects of the train travel chain, highlighting our key competence areas Culinary Excellence, Equipment and Logistics, Onboard Retail, Crew Management and Lounge Services.

Taking passengers on “ a journey of taste” , Chef Maurizio Ferro from Rome prepared fresh Italian food all day at our booth – tradeshow visitors had the chance to try Venice-style cuttlefish, lamb stew with artichokes or Taleggio cheese and red chicory risotto, for example. “I am cooking traditional Italian food, but reworked and in an innovative way. I am sure the people visiting our booths will like it”, said Chefs Maurizio. “For us as chefs, the train business is a challenge, but at the same time it is really a chance to come up with new ideas and new ways of preparing and serving top quality food that will make customers happy.” Additionally, visitors and customers were invited to participate in a cooking workshop with Maurizio and got to take away a recipe book with all recipes of meals that were served at out booth.

But, culinary expertise is not the only thing LSG Sky Chefs offers. Our portfolio enables us to support high-speed train operators in many ways – from classic catering, innovative service concepts, creatively designed equipment, intelligent logistics, crew training & management, appealing lounge concepts to tailor-made Buy-on-Board and retail concepts.
