LSG Sky Chefs Wine Buyer recognized by wine magazine publishers

Neu-Isenburg — LSG Sky Chefs announced today that Claudia Huber has been recognized as “Wine Entrepreneur of the Year — national” by the Meininger Verlag publishing house. Part of the citation states: “Her senses never let her down when choosing the labels that are served onboard Lufthansa and other airlines in Germany. With her expertise, she is able to choose not only good wine, but wine that also tastes great in the air. That is because altitude, speed and the just 15 degrees of humidity inside an aircraft greatly influence how wine tastes above the clouds. This is a task that Ms. Huber excels at, making her an important ambassador for wine.”

She has been working for LSG Sky Chefs for 19 years already and is responsible for the procurement of beverages at LSG Sky Chefs Deutschland GmbH. A special focus of her daily work is the selection and purchasing of wines, champagne and spirits for Lufthansa.

The Meininger “Excellence in Wine & Spirits” Award has been presented on the eve of the ProWein trade fair in Dusseldorf, Germany since 2005. Meininger Verlag publishes special interest magazines like Weinwelt, Weinwirtschaft, Sommelier and Wine Business International.
