Two Top IFSA Awards for LSG Sky Chefs Managers
Neu-Isenburg, Germany – Two managers from LSG Sky Chefs were honored with two of the top International Flight Services Association (IFSA) awards at the annual IFSA Conference and Exhibition, held in Long Beach, California, September 14-16.
LSG Sky Chefs Global Director Ramp Safety / Director of Employee Safety and Ramp Safety North America, Carlos Romero, was presented with the coveted 2010 IFSA President’s Award. In addition, Executive Chef Clifton Lyles was selected as the second annual IFSA Chef’s Competition Champion.
The President’s Award recognizes an individual or group member of IFSA who has made remarkable efforts in overall service and demonstrated dedication to the onboard services industry. These achievements are characterized by service, passion, and innovation within the industry. The President’s Award gives IFSA members an opportunity to recognize those individuals who go above and beyond the call of duty. This is the most prestigious award given by the President of IFSA during the annual conference and it is in the form of a crystal eagle representing strength, courage, standing by conviction and leading by example.
The Chef’s Competition is a rigorous contest to challenge the ability, creativity and speed of industry chefs. This award is presented for culinary excellence within the industry.
