LSG Sky Chefs Takes Full Ownership in Oakfield Farms Solutions

Neu-Isenburg, Germany / Irving, Texas, U.S. – LSG Sky Chefs, the world’s largest provider of quality in-flight catering, announced today that it has acquired the remaining shares in Oakfield Farms Solutions (“OFS”), based on the 51 percent shareholding established in 2009.

OFS represents a one-stop shop for innovative and tailor-made shelf-stable meal-box solutions for various airlines. The supply chain includes design, sourcing, assembly, manufacturing, packaging, sales and distribution of the products.

The OFS business model builds on the know-how and experience of the company’s founder Harvey Alpert and was established in 1994 to fill a niche for shelf-stable snacks in the airline industry. Since 2009, OFS has multiplied its revenues by gaining a wide variety of customers to become the market-share leader in this category.

At the same time, LSG Sky Chefs has extended the management service agreement with Harvey Alpert to maintain continuity of service and relationships.
