LSG Sky Chefs now present in Sofia, Bulgaria

Neu-Isenburg, Germany – LSG Sky Chefs, the world’s largest provider of  in-flight services, added a new location to its global network: Sofia (SOF), Bulgaria. The company, called Silver Wings, is a joint venture with Bulgaria Air Group and Alpha Group / Dnata.

The newly built 2,500 square-meter facility was officially opened yesterday. The  130 employees working there currently provide catering services for hub carrier  Bulgaria Air, Qatar, Lufthansa and British Airways. In addition, the team has  been providing services for low-cost-carrier Wizz Air successfully for many  years. The facility has a total capacity of 6,000 meals per day.

“We are very happy to have added Sofia to our network,” said Nils Taubert, Managing Director Eastern Europe, Russia & CIS countries. “This is a great  expansion opportunity as the Balkan region represents an area with very good growth potential.”
