LSG Sky Chefs Munich: Best Worldwide Catering Facility!
QSAI once again recognizes LSG Sky Chefs Munich and Buenos Aires facilities
Neu-Isenburg – LSG Group is excited to announce that – once again – its customer service centers in Munich and Buenos Aires have been awarded with prestigious QSAI (Quality and Safety Alliance In-flight Catering Program) awards. Oliver Barthelmeh (Managing Director Munich) and Andrea Flores (Managing Director Argentina) proudly received this important recognition on behalf of their teams during last night’s ceremony in Montreal, Canada.
LSG Sky Chefs Munich (MUC), Germany, received the Gold Medal as the best caterer in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and, additionally, was awarded the Platinum Medal for holding the number one position worldwide. Munich has received a QSAI Award for the fourth consecutive year and has been named “Best Worldwide Catering Facility” for the second year in a row. The LSG Sky Chefs Buenos Aires (EZE), Argentina, team have been recognized with the Silver Medal for the Americas, which is their sixth QSAI recognition!
“This is another outstanding achievement for these two teams and it demonstrates their continuous commitment and dedication to quality and safety,” says LSG Group’s Chief Operating Officer Jochen Müller. “Winning once or twice is a great achievement, but receiving repeated recognition proves the teams’ sustainable approach and endless efforts to remain “top notch” facilities. We are very proud and grateful!”
The QSAI awards are based on the first international audit program that allows participating airlines (such as Aeroflot, Air Canada, Air France, All Nippon Airways, KLM, Korean Air, Singapore Airlines or Virgin Atlantic) and rail operators to monitor and improve on-board food supplier compliance with internationally-recognized standards. The program is managed by auditing company Medina, who presents a total of 10 awards every year. All of the winners are leaders in delivering safe, quality in-flight food to passengers and crews alike.
