LSG Sky Chefs Facilities Receive Five QSAI Awards
Neu-Isenburg, Germany – At the Medina Quality Award ceremony, held on February 25, in Miami, Florida, five of LSG Sky Chefs’ worldwide catering facilities were recognized for consistently achieving satisfactory QSAI standards.
QSAI stands for the Quality and Safety Alliance In-flight Catering Program, which is the first audit program that allows the participating airlines (Aeroflot Russian Airways, Air Canada, Air France, KLM, All Nippon Airways, Japan Airlines, Korean Air, Singapore Airlines and Virgin Atlantic) to monitor and improve in-flight food supplier compliance with internationally-recognized standards. The program is developed and managed by auditing company Medina, who presents a total of ten awards every year. All winners are leaders in delivering safe, quality in-flight food to passengers and crew alike:
Bonaire (BON), Netherlands Antilles – Gold Medal for the Americas
Buenos Aires (EZE), Argentina – Silver Medal for the Americas
Santiago de Chile (SCL), Chile – Bronze Medal for the Americas
Munich (MUC), Germany – Silver Medal for Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA)
Kiev (KBP), Ukraine – Bronze Medal for Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA)
“All three QSAI awards for the Americas and two out of three awards for EMEA being presented to LSG Sky Chefs facilities is really an outstanding achievement,” said Edgard Graterol, Vice President LSG Sky Chefs Production System. “It is also a great testimony of our commitment to deliver on the promise to our airline customers to produce high quality food for their passengers.”
